The payment machines are super-sketchy with scotch tape on the card reader slot. Not just one but both machines on the first floor by the entrance. I'd give them the benefit of the doubt but they have been this way for YEARS. Also the validation does nothing to reduce the cost. This place is a scam.

Great parking lot directly across the street from Kaiser Medical Center. Bring your ticket inside to be validated from any doctor’s office. Parking is always available on the upper levels. Elevators are fast and new. Pay for parking before exit. You can pay using cash or credit card from the automated machine. Members can validate their parking ticket when registering for their appointment. Validated parking rates are: $1 every 30 minutes, for the first 3 hours; $2 per hour thereafter; and $16 daily maximum.

We convincing if you go to Kaiser. It is just stupid away from the main entrance. Kaiser validates parking, which makes the rate affordable.
