After our 53-year-old dormer window frame was restored, the finishing paintwork was completed by Chris Shelby of A to Z Painting & Decoration. Chris was professional, communicative, and punctual—he kept us informed every step of the way and even finished ahead of schedule. What was once an all-green dormer is now a stunning triple-color design that gives the illusion of a larger space. It has completely transformed the look of our home, turning the dormer into a true focal point. We couldn’t be happier with the result!

I found Chris to be highly professional, personable and knowledgeable about his craft. He came out for the assessment on time and was clear on the plan for painting the exterior of my 100-year-old home and which was last painted 15 years ago. He kept me up to date on the steps and status of the project. He explained reasons for his decisions and what was best for my home. I am pleased with the finished product and would hire him again in a heartbeat for another project.

After receiving 4 bids, I chose Chris Shelby to paint our backyard fence. He just finished and we couldn't be more pleased with his work. It was a process finding the right person, and we did not go with the lowest bid for many reasons that I won't mention in this review... but the warning I would give is carefully choose who you hire! It took Chris over 1 month to start the job not only because he was busy with other projects but also because he watched the weather, making sure there was no rain in the forecast. His price was very fair, and his work was outstanding. He is a true professional who takes pride in his work, which is difficult to find in today's day and age. I am confident you will not be disappointed in whatever job you hire him for.

I hired Chris Shelby from A to Z Painting around the beginning of November. The project was a big one… my beloved 1924 Craftsman home. He’s a busy guy, so he warned me that it would be awhile before he could get to me, but assured me he could get it done by the end of December depending on the weather. Well, the weather cooperated and he started by scraping the old paint areas first. After scraping, he primed the house. And then started painting.
