A&W Contracting installed a new roof on our home in May 2020. Since then, we’ve had repeated issues with shingles blowing off. Each time, A&W charged us for repairs and attributed the problems to high winds, even though our immediate neighbors have not experienced these problems. Concerned, we hired a certified home inspector, who found what he described as serious installation issues including overdriven nails, high nailing, and missing or improperly installed starter strip. He checked about 20 areas of the roof, and most showed these defects. Based on these findings, both the inspector and another roofer told us we now need an entirely new roof, despite having 30-year architectural shingles. There were also ventilation concerns. I purchased a house from a builder that used A&W as the roofer. About 18 months later the roof had a massive leak during a large rain storm. Damage to drywall and pressed wood boards. I needed time to get contact info from builder for roofer but needed roof fixed ASAP so call a 3rd party roofer. They inspected my roof, sent me photos and videos explaining why it was not installed properly and fixed it for $1200. I was quoted $3000 to get the drywall damage fixed but figured I would do that repair on my own to the best of my ability. I had an issue with a couple loose shingles on my two year old house. A&W was the group that did the original roof installation. A quick communication, an even quicker response, and A&W took care of my issue in about 20 minutes. Pablo is a scammer! A& W came out for a free chimney and roof inspection as I need some chimney work done on my house. The tech came out when it was raining, went into my attic and said my chimney cap had a hole in it and said he would come back another day. A few days later the same tech came out and walked my roof for 15 mins and then I get a call from Pablo. He told me they aren’t certified to do chimney work but I needed maintenance on my roof. They told me it would be $350 and I said please show me pictures before you do any work. The tech told me my roof looked great besides my chimney and left 15 mins later. A week later I get a call from Pablo saying he wants his money. I told him to send me the recorded phone call that I agreed to do the work and pictures of my roof he did
