Beginning of the season heating issues on a 30-year-old furnace. I called 3 other services that were booked out for days and charging outrageous prices. Above and Beyond squeezed me in the very next day. Their prices were very reasonable and on top of that, as a first-time customer I got a 10% discount! The techs, Michael and Derek, were great! They clearly explained the problem and what it would take to fix it. It took extra work to get the system up and running but they stayed with it until I had heat. What a team! I called for help and within 15 minutes Michael was at my front door. Jason and Michael worked together to figure out what needed replacing on our 31 year old furnace. The cost was under $1 K. They only suggest replacement if the cost will exceed 1/3 the price of a new furnace (typically $6 K). Nice to know these guys would rather ensure keeping a furnace running as long as possible vs. unnecessarily replacing one. So far I have only had preventative maintenance done, but the guys at Above & Beyond are knowledgeable and professional. They also have a membership system that is a no-brainer (call priority and discounted service).

AC went out. We called and received timely and great service to get it up and running. Their Spring and Fall inspection/maintenance program is a great deal, too!

Main point: Jason and Above & Beyond should be your first call for AC repair. They for sure will be ours from now on. Starting a run of 95+ degree days in Iowa City and of course our AC goes out. Called 5 companies before 8am, either no response or told it would be 2-3 days before they could get someone out. Jason, from Above & Beyond returned my call within 2 minutes, told me he could be out that same day. Showed up ON TIME. Figured out the problem in minutes and fixed it, then went the extra mile and installed a new thermostat for us in about 5 minutes (our old one was on its last legs).
