We had a finnicky garage door that would sometimes struggle opening and closing. Called Abracadabra and had no trouble scheduling an appointment that worked with my availability. Ben showed up promptly and diagnosed the problem. For my exceptionally heavy door, the power unit was undersized as were the springs. He clearly explained my options and didn't push for unnecessary repairs. I ultimately decided to install a new unit and upgraded springs. Ben had everything on his truck and completed the work quickly. Ben is friendly, professional and thorough. He walked me through the new equipment and helped me get everything programmed. Woke up one morning to a broken garage door spring and the door wouldn’t open. Called three companies. One was a business that advertised on TV. Two smaller companies responded to my call. Abracadabra.was able to respond first. Ben, the technician confirmed my diagnosis and quoted a price to replace both springs. Although the quote was more than expected, we agreed to have them do the work as we like to patronize local, family run businesses when we can. They completed the job in about an hour. They replaced the springs with similar high use units, lubricated all the parts on the door, secured some wiring and checked the operation.
