I've been in construction for over 50 years, so unfortunately, I'm a bit cynical when it comes to dealing with other contractors. After all this time, you learn that unforeseen issues pop up on every job—no exceptions. What really separates the good ones from the rest is how they handle those challenges that are beyond anyone's control. A perfect example happened with our recent fence project. Our pool and surrounding grade (including the slab) slope more than 8 inches from one end to the other for proper drainage. That created a real challenge for the fencing crew: keeping the top rail level meant the bottom rail gaps would get progressively larger at the low end, which wasn't ideal. Ace Fence was absolutely amazing! From start to finish, they exceeded our expectations. They followed through with calling me back, sent someone to our house the same day, and provided a quote quickly by email. Their communication was excellent—they kept us updated on when they would be there to remove the old fence and put up the new one. The work itself was fast and high-quality. My husband was sooo happy with the results, and when I see him smile, it makes me smile. I even told Chris (our contact at Ace Fence) that I could have lived without the fence and would have preferred a new wardrobe 😅—but sometimes responsibilities have to come first. I got a quote from Chris. It would have been $30 a piece to dig out old concrete. Since I had the new fence set out another foot I saw no reason to dig out old concrete, just cut off at ground level and erect new fence. I watched the whole installation. When I got the invoice there was a charge for 5 concrete dig outs. They never dug one out, I saw it done. Yet the bill was the same as the estimate. They added a charge of $150.00 to my bill before they knew if they would have to dig any out. I wonder if they do this to all customers? Also, after the job was done I had to do some work in my garden along the fence. I noticed a lose board. I checked some more. I only have checked the ones behind my garden.(25-30 pickets) Out of then, 13 boards weren't nailed along the bottom board. Haven

Very satisfied with my fence install by Luis and Co. Very professional, clean up was great. Will use them again. We had a rain delay, they kept in contact with me and let me know what was going on.

I was very impressed with Chris and front office customer service. However, the company is as good as their crew and unfortunately they caused damage to irrigation wires, sprinkler heads, drainage pipes and an internet fiber optic cable. I understand the risk of this with fence installation, but it was quite impressive how much damage there was for such a small project, even after the underground utility lines were marked. It was extremely frustrating to deal with and damage repairs were almost as expensive as the fence installation cost.
