Action Door and Window

We purchased multiple windows from this company. We had them out for issues with 2 of the windows multiple times after installation and finally gave up on them ever fixing them correctly. Fast forward and we decide to try again. The window handles never worked correctly and one of the windows lost it's gas and fogged up inside. It looks dirty and gross. They, of course, want my receipt because they do not keep records so I produce the receipt(even though when I speak to them they tell me my address and such because they have it in their computer) . They never bothered filling it out so they had the information needed to order parts. No item numbers or nothing on the paperwork they provided. From the perspective of a commercial property owner looking for commercial door service, would not recommend Action Door. Clients might get swayed towards Action since they are more commercialized and hence can respond to a service call/ estimate way faster than a mom and pop shop. But the benefits of speed of initial response ends there. Expect to project manage the service beginning to end and post service completion. Action is quick to take initial deposit but unable to provide status of order or scheduling install without badgering. One can order a commercial door from big box retailer delivered in 7 days while it took Action 60 days from when they process payment to install completion. Great, family owned company! They came out right away to put in a new operator and springs on my vacation home (I live on OH part time). I had others come out and they wanted over double what Action Door charged me. Super honest and great to do business with. No BS and FAMILY OWNED!

We called Action Door for garage door & gate opener diagnosis. Kat was very helpful and reassured us that her guy could diagnose what the issue was with the gate (ie: motor or wires etc) since the flashing light indicated obstruction, but there was none. The tech showed up and asked to see the manual. He then proceeded to call Tech Support (on my dime @ $130+ dollars an hour) Tech Supports answer to the diagnosis was "It might be a motor" The tech didn't know what was wrong or how to diagnose it and Tech Support couldn't either. The charge for this was $441.00. Earlier in this week the office called to get our email address to send us a quote, when asked what for we were told for a new motor and if that don't work then a new opener. Go somewhere else, anywhere else with your business. I hired these guys for a garage door job, raising the header and adding a panel to an existing garage door to increase the height of the door. It took months to complete. They sent a crew out to remove the door to get ready to raise the header and didn't have the next step scheduled! They left me with no garage door for over a week with my barn completely unsecured! After the door was finally reinstalled it took several more weeks to get the trim in to finish the job. The workers did an acceptable job but the owner left me hanging with how he manages and schedules his jobs. To top it off, when we asked for a discount for the inconvenience the owner lost his mind, screamed at my wife and threatened to come take the door down! Completely
