Affordable Chimney Sweep and Pressure Washing

Mike provided me with a quote for a stainless chase cover for my chimney and took an initial deposit. Later, he came back and said he would need more money to get it ordered so I complied. More than a month after, he said he could not honor the quote because his cost was more than he quoted me. He gave me the option of a regular crown or a refund. I chose the refund, but he still has not provided me with one 4 months later. He is extremely difficult to get in touch with. His voicemail box is always full and several texts go unanswered for weeks. I knew he was going through some hard times but didn't realize the deposits I gave him were not going toward actual materials. He no longer has the money to refund my deposit. I would definitely not recommend Mike or his company.

2018 Gave Mike Drinks half of estimated costs. He never came back. Took him to court 2020. Judge says pay me. He said he will. 2023 and I have never heard from him. Check him on Maryland Judiciary site-good read.

I called Mike on Friday, hoping to get a Saturday appt. to have our chimney cleaned. He was booked for the day, but made arrangements to come out on Sunday. He said he would be here at noon, and he was right on time. Mike was efficient, professional and affordable. He found a problem that could cause a major fire in our home, suggested a couple repairs and options. He cleaned up the area so well, you'd never know he was here! Thanks Mike, we will definitely use your service in the future and will recommend you to our friends.

Updating review: he did come back and installed the pallet stove. He just had a lot going on and that’s why he missed the first few appointments. Don’t recommend at all. He took more then 80% deposit and rescheduled service like 4 times only to tell us that it will take longer. Not reliable! He knows I have small children and how bad I needed it. Now we have to wait 10 days to get deposit back. And we have to find someone else! Shame on this company.

Purchased a house that this company serviced and repaired a chimney for. I called after having leaking in my ceiling and puddles in my carpet around the fireplace. The person who called me back argued with me about the property, and then realized he wasn’t even talking about my property. They replaced my chase cover (where the leak now is) and said he wouldn’t even come look at the work that was done. Their paperwork literally says they give no guarantee or warranty on their work. I would never recommend this company to anyone.
