Airport Parking

I travel often and usually park in the daily parking decks. The price is very reasonable when booked ahead and they run some coupons also. I love that it is well lit and the shuttles run frequently. But I wanted to shine a light on the amazing surveillance and staff for a moment. I flew in after Charlotte's winter storm and when I got to my car my battery was dead. I contacted AAA, who had high volume due to the weather so I traveled back into the airport for warmth and then returned to the deck again. AAA times shifted on me again and quite frankly left me out in the cold. I got a call from someone named, I believe Charnique from airport security, who let me know someone was on the way to assist me as airport security had noticed I was having problems. Easy and affordable for the most part! If you are only leaving for 5 to 7 days, it pays for itself, because to Uber there and home would cost the exact same if not more! The shuttles are very prompt with pick up to get to your flight. Just a little bit more of a nuisance when returning because they have certain shuttles for different lots and they take FOREVER after you land and just want to get to your vehicle!!

If it were possible I would give a zero star review. Prepaid parking a week in advance (3 days $94). When I arrived there were a minimum of 10-20 cars on the levels that were open. Guaranteed spot is an absolute scam! I went to the roof top and it was the same. I had no choice but to park in a spot that had diagonal yellow lines but no signs. I parked there and called CLT parking after i got through security. They told me I could be towed. Called my wife and told her to get the car out of there. 3 hours later she arrived and the car had been towed. Here's where it get better. $255 to get car out of towed storage CASH ONLY....CASH ONLY!! Then the final surprise another fine under wiper from CLT parking for another $25. So $280 to park for a few hours plus the $94 original payment.

I use the hourly parking for my pickup and drop off. So much easier than the chaos on the arrivals and departures area. Simply enter, get your ticket, head to the fourth floor and drive across to the elevators. There's an area there where you can "stand" and it's super easy. I dropped off my daughter this week and it's so dang easy! The first thirty minutes are free.
