Get a promise, or they aren’t coming. Air conditioning went out at my workplace. I called this company, they told me that the day I called, Thursday, they were booked with contract customers, so it might be late Thursday or it might be Friday. No problem, I would not expect a company to drop everything and come running over to a new client. I called Friday for an ETA. They said they were booked with contract customers. I asked why they didn’t tell me I’d be dropped from the schedule if someone more important called, the manager told me they ‘didn’t promise me anything,’, which is true, but I didn’t realize I had to get a promise for them to show up.
