We switched from Petro to Alcus when we became first time homeowners back in 2017. We were just a number to Petro and a customer service rep from them literally laughed at me when i laughed for a service visit to check on the boiler for our new home. After doing some research on local small business that could provide oil and service we decided to go with Alcus. They have always been there for us with reasonable prices. Where they shine is the service. They helped when the boiler unexpectedly started dumping heated water into our basement and came to our house same day to help start the recovery process. They also saved me thousands of dollars by helping me replace parts of an oil tank instead of trying to upsell me a project to install a brand new one. I'm writing this review now a

I am a customer of over 10 years and have found my experiences with the company to be outstanding, including the professionalism and courtesy of the employees along with the quality of the service. Such attributes were in full effect when I needed service during the recent inclement weather. The representative who delivered the heating oil, Tom, was in his usual good-nature form, despite the harsh conditions. It was a joy interacting with him along with the dispatcher who kept me posted on the status of the delivery. I look forward to continuing the relationship with the company.

Alcus fuel is the only company I can trust. Originally they were local, but ive since moved and cant find any other company I can trust. As a single mom, to see that little red gage all the way at the top of the tank and know I didnt get screwed on my delivery is like heaven. Knowing I dont have to argue and im getting what I pay for is such a relief and one less worry off my plate. And it goes without saying how fast, and reliable they are. See for yourself!! The worst company I have ever deal with. Sell service contracts they don’t honor and always claim the customer is at fault. Save your money and use anyone else. They have gotten rid of any techs that were honest. Started as reputable and faded fast.

Customer support lady that works there is very rude & nasty. I will not use this company again, because I do not like when people yell at me. I thought I caught her on a bad day, but no, I ordered oil the second time and I received the same nasty treatment. If you want to keep your customers, either train your customer support or find a new one :-)
