Alewife Station Parking Garage

Can say the station itself is fine. But DO NOT USE THE STAIRCASE to get down stairs from the parking garage. Parked on the 3rd floor with my buddy, took the stairs down and I’m not lying when I say there were atleast 20 needles on the ground walking down. We had to watch every step we took. When we got to the bottom there was a charred log on the ground like some lit a fire in there to stay warm. It was a disturbing experience, couldn’t imagine walking with my kid down those stairs…

At least it has not collapsed yet. They really should consider adding drains so it doesn't rain inside.

Overall not a bad parking garage. Prices are good but it is annoying the only option to pay is the PayByPhone app; not everyone has a smartphone or is good enough with technology to use it easily. Going to the upper floors can be confusing especially for people driving in for the first time; you have to turn to the right, and once you get to the end turn to the right again to get to the upper floors. There are a few spots where the ceiling leaks or where pieces of concrete have fallen down but pretty much every parking garage has those anyways.

Construction been going on for awhile... even without, the place constantly smell of human waste in the stairwell. The workers are nice though. Too bad it's the public which created a pretty disgusting place to park, even if they do clean it often. In the summer the smell just hit you like a wall. I have found myself trying to avoid parking here as much as possible and opt for open air lots instead. My experience here has turned me to just paying monthly elsewhere.

Pretty cheap to park. It is under repair a lot but there's plenty of spaces nowadays
