Roger, with Allens Appliance Repair was dispatched to our home to repair our new Frigidaire dishwasher. He contacted us to confirm appointment time and arrived promptly on time. They came to diagnose my appliance & said a part needed to be ordered. That was fine. Whenever they was supposed to come fix my appliance, they kept canceling. Giving every excuse about picking up kids, being sick, family emergency, I knew more about their family issues than a customer should know. Then when I expressed my concerns about them not being convenient, the wife/secretary told me I could accept it or not! I cancelled service with them and contacted Sloan Appliance on Wed, they came & fixed my refrigerator on Monday. And no part needed to be ordered. Don't waste your time with Allen Appliance!

If I could give zero stars, I would. Alan’s Appliance Repair has been an absolute nightmare to deal with. Do yourself a favor and avoid Alan’s Appliance Repair at all costs. They were supposed to come out three weeks ago — never showed, never called. When I followed up, Stephanie told me they had to order a part, even though the issue was just a couple of loose screws on the fridge. They hadn't even been out to look at it! There is no broken part. They just need to tighten screws on the fridge that I don't have the tool for. No need for a delay. They rescheduled for the next week. Again — no show, no call. I contacted Stephanie again, and she was rude and condescending, offering excuses about being short-staffed and prioritizing emergency calls. She promised they’d come the following week.

The repair guy showed up the first time and said he knew what was wrong with my dishwasher. Swapped some screws around in the door and said that would fix the problem. It did not. I called them back the next day and was told they would need to order a switch and they would come and put it in. Two weeks later I called again and they said oh yes, we will come and install it. Nobody came. I called again and they rescheduled another appointment and again nobody came. Called the third time and was told I would have to call the manufacturer warranty and file another claim for them to come back out it had been to long. So three months into this, and I still have issues with the dishwasher which is less than a year old. I would not recommend you use this company if you want anything fixed.

This is by far the worst appliance company I’ve ever dealt with. Marvin and Stephanie Nickens are the most unprofessional individuals I’ve encountered in any service industry, and I genuinely have no idea how they are still in business. Marvin came out to inspect my appliance—it took him all of three minutes to assess the issue. He said a part needed to be ordered and that he’d be back to complete the repair. After that, I heard nothing for seven days. On day 10, I called to follow up and spoke with Stephanie, who vaguely said the part had been ordered and “should be in any day.” I called again four days later, specifically asking for a concrete date, and was told it would be in “by the end of the week.” The end of the week came—no part, no repair, and no response from Stephanie.
