I just had a new furnace & air conditioner installed by Ames Heating & Cooling & the 2 techs were AWESOME! Explaned what they would be doing all along the way, and everything looks great after the install. Brian Linder who gave me the estimate was also very cordial, and gave me a great deal on the 2 units! I give them excellentrecommenations all around!!!

Brian Linder was really easy to work with when getting a quote for a new A/C and furnace for our home. Their price came is better than any of the others we got and they got us on the schedule quickly. The install team of Mike and Dan were courteous, timely, and excellent at execution of the project. We had the outdoor A/C unit relocated and they never complained about crawling in our tiny, dirty crawlspace to do it. I even offered to do it on their behalf and they still did it themselves. The hookups for the new outdoor unit look amazing and clearly they put a lot of thought into where to put everything because it's so organized and clean. My apartment recently requested service from them because my AC unit has been leaking. We had set out two towels and a bucket to catch the water dripping onto our floor. One of the towels is now missing and the other is ruined. The bucket has stuff stuck to the bottom as well. All will need to be replaced. Additionally the floor and the shower in the bathroom next to the AC unit were left a mess. I do not see how this is acceptable or professional. To make matters worse we were told that they will have to make another visit to replace a broken part. I am uncomfortable with them reentering my apartment.

Update - January 2025 - We had a relay fail for the humidifier built into our furnace. Ames H&C immediately returned, fixed the problem and now it is working 100%. This is an excellent company! Ames Heating & Cooling installed the HVAC systems in our new Ankeny home that we moved into in November of 2022. Service manager Brad and his team did an excellent job of designing our systems and installing them. We have both a humidifier and dehumidifier built in to our main house system. We have a second HVAC system that climate controls our garage and garage storage attic. We are able to maintain well balanced comfortable temperatures year-round. After another HVAC business added Freon to a leaking unit (and then the unit obviously wouldn’t work), I needed ASAP AC help, and Ames Heating & Cooling were there quick. They saw what needed to be done, and were able to expedite the work. They did a great job, were quick and clean. I would recommend them and look forward to working with them again.
