Applied Forestry

ALL AROUND 10/10! We chose Applied Forestry to take care of a shared (with neighbor over fence line) LARGE cottonwood tree that we both love so much, but needed some long overdue weight removal, pruning etc. This amazing crew showed up on time, did fantastic and thorough work, were professional yet so much fun to talk to and share their experiences with and did a 10/10 job on cleanup when they left. We highly recommend them for any job you need! Thank you for the great work !

Sam and Sara are fantastic! Received bids from several companies to remove 6 trees. They are the owners: ones who provide the estimate and they are the ones who do the work. Rare find. They provided bid in writing, sent certificate of insurance, requested a utilities assessment, donated the trees to The Wood Lot (cords of wood assistance program) here in Bend, and did great job on clean up. Small operation with big results, great folks! Can't go wrong- hire them!

I highly recommend Applied Forestry. It's a small operation, consisting of a young couple and their employees. Sarah, who is quite experienced and expert in trees, came to our house and carefully discussed each tree with us. She listened to our goals, made recommendations, and gave us a quote. Sam and Nick did an excellent job of tree trimming. During the job, Sarah stopped by to make sure she and Sam had coordinated well on what was to be done. After trimming, the trees look quite natural--they don't look like they just got a buzz-cut. They also installed a cable between two large branches of a locust tree to prevent it from splitting and prolong its life. They cleaned up thoroughly when they were done. We were very happy with their work.

Sam and Sara came to our 2.5 acre property for a free consultation to discuss removing some trees that were too close to our deck and possibly pruning some other trees for better views. They were both so knowledgeable, professional, friendly and great at answering all of our questions and explaining everything so that we could make informed decisions. On the day of the job, Sam and his worker arrived on time and worked with care, asking us for our input as they removed and shaped trees throughout our property. Sam finished in the early afternoon and they cleaned up so well there was no sign of debris from the removal of several trees and trimming of many others. Sam and Sarah are great to do fantastic work. We have used then twice and couldn't be happier. Would definitely recommend them. The first time they took a large Ponderosa Pine down in a small work area. Now we just had 3 Ponderosa Pines trimmed and cleaned for fire prevention.
