A&R Pool Service

This is what your custom gunite pool might look like after years of service by A & R Pools and Spas…stained and dirty and constant algae growth despite them coming weekly. Their service is not cheap but the results would indicate otherwise. My parents have been loyal customers for over 10 years and can barely get a phone call back. Their service guys are very nice but often inexperienced. Would not recommend using if you are in the Ocean County area. The service has gotten noticeably worse in the last two years.

I used This pool company for many years. The previous owner was great, but since this company was sold I decided to give them a shot, even though I wasn’t confident they would still operate the same. Well my hunch was right. They now have no idea what is the proper way to mantain/diagnose pools. What they are pretty good at is price gauging and predatory billing practices. I have a saltwater pool and in total in one… that right ONE season the charged me almost $4500. No clear pricing from the start, just a huge bill at the end. Now a letter in the mail (hand written) with threats of collections. I will be paying the bill in full, and never using this company again. It’s a shame to see. But do yourself a favor and call someone else.

Bob, Donna, and their staff at A&R Pools have been a pleasure to deal with! Last year, they converted our pool to salt water, with all new equipment, relocated in a better spot to free up our side yard. They have been maintaining it beautifully since then, and have quickly dealt with any issue that has come up. I recommend them highly!

I called this pool and spa service company, and it took them three days to get back to me—only to say they don’t accept new clients unless you also have a pool. It would have been nice if the person who first answered the phone knew that from the start. It felt like a waste of time and showed poor communication.

We would leave ZERO stars if possible! We've had NEVER ENDING ISSUES with this company all of which they refuse to take responsibility for. They are irresponsible, unresponsive and when you do finally get in touch with someone like the "new manager" HE IS RUDE AND COMPLETELY UN WILLING TO CORRECT OR ADDRESS ANY OF THE ISSUES. This company is not who you want to use, they will damage your pool and spa and try to charge for work that WAS NEVER DONE! BUYER BEWARE! They also do not stand by thier equipment or services. 0/10 RUN DO NOT WALK AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS!
