Armorshine Floors

This company was a subcontractor brought in by our GC for our kitchen reno in a 1914 home. Original heart pine floors needed to be matched with true heart pine which we paid dearly for and we ended up with reclaimed basic yellow pine. They installed paint covered tongue and groove and then when it was sanded to the wood it was immediately apparent that it wasn't heart pine. Not sure why the owner thought he would pull a bait and switch but it wasn't even close. We tried to have several meetings with the owner and every time he ducked out before we could have a face to face. Not sure if our contractor colluded to put in an inferior product thinking we would get over it and they split the difference in the cost of true heart pine and new plantation pine that happened to be reclaimed. Mike and his group of workers were outstanding for my latest project. They helped me bring back to life the floors from a 1940 house in Murray Hill. They had a great plan. Sand them down, then use a mixture to clean the wood and lift the grain up. Then they applied a beautiful stain, and added at least 2-3 layers of poly to seal the floor. There is a great transition between the old Pine and Oak planks. They even fixed some of the damaged floor as well. Outstanding work and so much so I have had others ask for Mike and Dave on other projects. These guys are good!

Armorshine Floors have done a fabulous job and given us beautiful new hardwood floors. We had had moisture issues with our old floors, done by a previous company, and Mike researched how to avoid any problems to assure us the issue would not be repeated. The entire team was very responsive to any of our concerns and needs during the installation. And we’re very accommodating so that we could continue to live at home during construction. I highly recommend them.

The owner Mike and his employees did an excellent job refinishing our hardwood floors. Our floors were in really bad shape with a great deal of stains. When I saw the finished result I could not believe the complete transformation. Our floors are now drop dead gergous, thanks to Armorshine. Not only was he the least expensive, but was the most knowledge contractor. I highly recommend this Awesome Company to anyone wanting to do anything with your hardwood flooring needs!!

We hired Armorshine to do an LVP installation in our home. When Mike (the owner) came out to provide the estimate, not only was he very thorough, but was also very helpful in answering any questions we had. From the time the estimate was submitted to the time work began, the office provided us updates on the schedule and was responsive to any concerns we had. The installers finished the work in under three days - They were professional, respectful, and efficient. Most importantly, they took great pride in their work. We are delighted with the finished product and would not hesitate to recommend Mike and his team.
