Art Center of the Bluegrass

Beautiful local art museum! Absolutely amazing paintings, glassworks, and wonderful and sweet staff. A sweet and small ambience. I might note that it doesn’t take a very long time to tour the whole museum, so plan to also stroll the rest of downtown Danville in addition to the art center for a fun little day. Thank you to all the local artists and curators that make this art center possible!!

A gem of an institution! GLASS is a world class museum, Murrini is an excellent café, and the gift shop is sure to please. Where else can you see world-class art without an admission charge??

Currently displaying stephen rolfe Powells blown glass with his various forms available to view up close. We loved the dark room with his blown glass bowls cleverly lit up and reflecting the patterns. A clear history of Powells development as an artist with a timeline is presented upstairs where you can also view local artists who are in session.

SO MUCH TO SEE AND DO HERE! Pottery classes, seeing local artist in action, check out the installations, it's endless. Highly recommend

We took a Paint-your-pet class, they provided brushes, paint, and canvas. Instructor guided, 2 and a half hour class. Had a great time...
