I chose Artek Painting & Construction mainly because several neighbors had used them for projects and were pleased with the results. I too am extremely pleased with my new bathroom and with the updates made in our bedroom as well. Mike worked with me to design the bathroom and pointed me to resources for picking the materials and finishes. When we had a countertop hiccup, Mike provided me with an option to consider, that I ended up liking better than my original selection, so the project could stay on track. We used Artek for our first remodel & updating. The work completed was outstanding. I used them again to restore our Hurricane Harvey disastered home. Mike came in & assessed the damage & repairs needed. He immediately knew what I wanted. His creativity & ideas have always been practical & reasonable. BUT!! I don't know what happened, work stopped. We had paid as agreed, but then he was asking for more money to complete the renovation. Work wasn't even done halfway after 2 months of waiting. I ended up hiring another contractor and losing over $25,000.

We highly recommend Mike Jennings and Artek! We have used Mike for several projects over the years, from painting the outside of the house to large projects on the inside. It is rare to find a contractor you would work with more than once, and we plan to use him again soon for two complete bath remodels. Mike runs a tight ship. His crews arrive when they say they will be here, clean up before they leave every day, and are very respectful of privacy, property and pets. Plus, they are excellent craftsmen. Mike Jennings at Artek P & C renovated our master bathroom. It was an extensive job, requiring removal of an old garden tub, installation of an expanded, tiled shower area with large glass wall and spa-style rainfall shower, body sprays, and thermostatic controls, and complete renovation of the cabinets, flooring, lighting, etc. Mike and his crew did a fantastic job; contained the construction area with plastic sheeting to minimize dust, were careful to lock doors and maintain security while we were at work, kept us informed and updated on progress and timelines. We have had Artek do numerous remodel projects at our home and have always been satisfied. Mike is very helpful in negotiating the best solutions when we cannot come to n agreement on what we like. Good quality work that they stand behind with very reasonable pricing.
