Two separate teams were sent by my home builder to repair drywall screw pops, ceiling cracks, and corner cracks. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The first team arrived with minimal tools and supplies, and their “repairs” consisted of adding mud to cover screw pops rather than fixing them properly. They also caulked ceiling cracks instead of following the correct process of scraping, applying fiber tape, mudding, and stamping. A second team was sent to address the issues caused by the first, yet many problems still remain—several screw pops are still visible. In addition, the first team left my home extremely messy. They did the dry wall on our house when it was built. Years later we are still dealing with wall pops and the tape on seams popping out. I have had to replace the tape on almost every single corner in our house. It is very clear the worker who worked on our house was incompetent and used mud that was not properly mixed. Writing this as I am fixing yet another corner with the tape coming off, along with some seams.
