Austin City Hall Parking Garage Entrance

I went to park and there was a suspicious man and woman. The man was guiding you a certain way into the parking lot and the woman was sitting at the entrance with a credit card scanner to pay “15 dollars before entering” it seemed super sketch. They did not have any uniforms or anything that would indicate they are parking staff. There was signs that said to pay before entering. But it looked liked they just put those up. I decided to take my chances and just ignored the woman and grabbed my ticket that then lifted the gate for me to enter the garage. When i left the garage hours later the man and women were gone and i felt i made the right call because there was a different man and different woman at the exit both and they had uniforms and i did not pay on a tap to pay system they were ho

Like a little secret parking spot during non busy times if the day or on the weekend

A decent place to park for access to the bat viewing area. Just like other downtown parking the amount can add up as you go beyond the initial two hours. Overall it was fine.

It's a convenient parking location if you are attending a show at ACL Live. Please understand their times and fees. They will overcharge you on a technicality as they did me. I was charged $18 when it should have been $10 for event parking. I got charged $8 extra for arriving 5 minutes too early. Had I known that i would have driven around for a few more minutes.

ATX City Hall parking garage entrance sneaks up on you…be vigilant. It’s very very near C Chávez intersection.
