The crew properly installed the road base, reinforced it with rebar, and handled the project professionally from start to finish. Austin Concrete Specialists helped me replace a damaged patio slab at my Austin rental property after I was referred by a friend. Austin Concrete did my driveway and the whole process was smooth, professional, and on time. Their estimator showed up with an iPad, took the time to explain every step, and built the estimate on the spot with clear, detailed line items. Everything was transparent and easy to understand, and he was patient with all my questions. When I first saw the iPad and how thorough it was, I expected a huge number. The price wasn’t the cheapest, but it was mid-range compared to other quotes. What made the difference was the time they spent explaining everything, the detailed on-the-spot estimate, and the fact they stand behind their work with a warranty. I highly recommend them.

Buyer Beware My experience with Austin Concrete Specialists has been poor enough to motivate me to write this review to warn others. We approached them about adding a concrete surface to support a hot tub. The sales consultation was easy and professional and the quote fell in the mid-range of what were expecting. Everything seemed fine until the day of the pour when they left us with a surface with an 8 - 12" step up from the ground (roughly 5" higher than we talked about) with an uneven surface and a severe grade that was on average 4 - 5%, twice what City of Austin allows. You couldn't set a tennis ball on it without it rolling off. Furthermore, they poured the concrete directly on our grass and leaf cover without preparing the ground and they didn't float the rebar that they used, just

Got a few bids for a driveway and Austin Concrete Specialists wasn’t the cheapest, but they were the easiest to trust. The estimate was done on the spot, everything was itemized, and nothing felt hidden. Communication was solid the whole way and the final result looks excellent.
