Austintown Pools and Spas

We paid them up front to close our pool. We had a week set Sept 22, 2025. It's now Oct 13th, 2025 our pool is still open. We called multiple times and was given different excuses each time. Yet the owner we never spoke to just some young men. The owner also had time to post videos on Facebook but not to close our pool. Was told we were "overlooked" Got a refund in check form after we paid cash because it was after 30 days. I would never suggest them to anyone. The owner is unprofessional.

This is the first year I went with Austintown Pools & Spas for my pool closure and it will be my last. Last year I went with BY Pools and they did an excellent job and were able to close my pool immediately the next day after paying. This year I decided to try more local and I paid up front back in mid October for my pool closure with Austintown pool & spa. I eventually received a text on Halloween stating that they could come close my pool on that very same day. I responded back to the text and never heard from them again. I called the store multiple times since and was told that the owner was extremely backed up. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and wait. No luck! I go into the store and ask what was going on and I was told that the owner was a teacher by day and was clo

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. This is one of the worst businesses I’ve ever dealt with. They make you pay them upfront to close your pool, months go by while we are calling and they’re telling us they’re going to send someone. We demand a refund, they tell us they’re going to write us a check to get our money back, and they will call us, we never got one call. Here we are in February, they still haven’t refunded us our money. We’re going to have to report them and take them to small claims court.

Bob and his team did an excellent job getting our pool in. He came just before 10am on install day and had it cut, dug, and in place within a couple of hours, we were filling up just after noon. He also made sure to follow the same path dumping dirt and kept the yard tear up to a minimum. They have a good system in place of having enough help and getting the pool in timely and efficiently. Opening kit is also very valuable, leap chemical system to get you started, shock, vacuum and pole with net and cleaning attachments, water tester, and thermometer. Go for a heater, you won't regret the extra investment in this area.

Just a bunch of kids that don’t want to do their jobs when you call, the worst customer service- paid for a service upfront and was told that someone will reach out to me …….3 weeks later we are now in freeze warnings and my pool is still up because I was waiting for them to; I don’t know….do their job I paid them for? Seems like the owners never check to make sure these kids are doing their jobs, and the kids aren’t telling the owners there’s services that need to be done since they are “the ones who do all that” and its “not in their hands”.. saying all that- I will never recommend this place even to my worst enemies - zero stars if I could.
