Review for AZ Design and Build – Very Disappointed I would strongly caution anyone considering hiring AZ Design and Build. My experience with them was extremely frustrating and disappointing. From the beginning, they were dishonest about the timeline. We were promised the project would be completed in 2–4 weeks, but it dragged on for over 3 months with little communication or accountability. The contract clearly stated that they would cut and remove tree stumps and prevent regrowth. Instead, they only cut the trees down and left the stumps, which have now started regrowing. This was a major part of the job, and they simply didn’t do it. Even worse, we had 3 citrus trees and 2 pomegranate trees that we wanted to keep. We hired these guys through Anthony Aizpuru as the project manager to build a custom home for my elderly mother. Despite our attempts to convince my mother not to go with this guy as there was currently a pending ROC complaint at the time she decided to use him. He knew my father had just passed away and I believe he used this to take advantage of my mom. Unfortunately, the experience has been extremely disappointing to say the least. Despite receiving a significant amount of money upfront, the contractor consistently missed deadlines, failed to pass multiple inspections, and eventually abandoned the project without completing the work.Communication was poor, and attempts to get updates or resolutions were either ignored or delayed. I’ve had a a horrible experience with this contractor. He is not honest and is full of empty promises. He promises work will be done at a certain time and he rarely showed up for work and rarely sent any employees do to the work. Most of the time there was only one person working on a huge project. He does not communicate well. He rarely answers calls and cancels meetings frequently. He tried to convince me complete the work with cheaper material than what I chose and gaslight me to say that is what I originally chose. He asks for money before work is complete because he says he needs it to buy materials. I believe he used my money to buy a house to flip instead of using the money to buy materials to complete my job. As he has not bought any of the materials as per our contract. Everything

Warning..... Same guys different name... They have ripped us off, with a bunch of others, then just changed names. Used to be called PHX Construction and got shut down. DO NOT HIRE THESE GUYS!!!!

Do not trust these guys. They were called phx constructions before and owner name is Tony/Anthony. Please beware!
