B&L is one of the few contractors I've used in my lifetime that I can wholeheartedly recommend. B&L performed my driveway tear out and repave job 3 years ago and it's holding up well. I was especially impressed by the care and attention that went into prepping and re-grading the crushed stone base material. They surveyed and laser measured elevations and made sure they knew where water was going. Then the job was graded with a road grader and went through many rounds of vibratory compaction. The base was so hard, you could see dump trucks the day of paving didn't leave an indentation in it. They made sure the base gravel was wider than where they paved so the shoulders of the asphalt are properly supported. The finished pavement never pools water and the shoulders haven't cracked anywhere

I had my driveway paved and an additional parking area created at my home in Old Lyme. The entire B&L team was very professional, friendly, and did an A+ job. They even came back a few days after and spread fresh topsoil and mulch around the perimeter. My driveway turned out great and I have received several compliments from others in the neighborhood. I would highly recommend B&L for any of their services.

Hired to install 14x26 shed pad in difficult location and fix the mess left by prior budget contractor. Highly professional full service company. In one 12 hour day they completed what prior contractor couldn't do in 3 months. I was amazed at how well choreographed the whole process was. Each load of material arrived exactly when needed. All machinery and men were here at 7AM. By 7PM the pad was complete, level, area was being hydroseeded and project was complete.

We had our old gravel driveway, regraded and done with new decorative stone. Alan at the company was very helpful in hunting down the particular color stone we wanted. The crew was super efficient, showed up promptly early in the morning and did a very careful and skilled job. They bought with them an impressive amount of large equipment and the solidity, appearance and edge detail was superb. We get many positive comments from people who see it. They are clearly heads and shoulders above the typical company doing gravel driveway work and I hardly recommend them.
