Baker Electric

We contracted Baker Electric for a small project related to a business relocation. They were able to schedule our request sooner than anticipated. After we made a late change regarding cable management, Baker quickly removed and reran the cables without issue. Once the project was finished, we realized additional outlets were needed in the area, and Baker handled that for us the same day. Despite our own planning oversights, Susan and her team provided outstanding service and support. We look forward to working with Baker again.

Pay no attention to the negative reviews written by disgruntled customers. Baker Electric is my go-to company for residential and commercial electrical work. On the residential side, Nick is the best electrical technician I've ever encountered. He shows up on time and works quickly but carefully (in other words, no wasted time), with a focus on safety. I always request him for my projects. From dispatchers to project managers and electrcal techs, I've always encountered pleasant, helpful people at Baker. In short, I won't use any other company.

While Baker Electric used to be the TOP Electrical contractor in the Des Moines area that changed when Emcor bought out the company. For starters the company is no longer a friend of the 2A community, as I was let go for simply having a firearm on my person, all while having no idea of a existing policy against it or being given the ability to remedy the situation. Outside of that, the management of the company has been beyond poor with profits over everything including the customer base and their tenured employees, all while continuing to employ people with questionable morals. Use your best judgement in supporting a company other than Baker Electric that values their customer base and employees over strictly profits.

I do not know how long street lights should last, but our street light is out again. The boom truck is needed to repair the light in the easement of me units. My only concern is when you call a company and a reasonable time frame is agreed upon every effort should be made to meet that request. For now we wait! I’ll keep you posted.
