Barnard's Mill - Texas State Historical Marker

Super nice place, great art from local artists, and the people who work there were super nice and welcoming. Free admission and I wish I could have made a donation but we weren't carrying cash 😭 if anyone reading this goes, please make sure you make a donation!

The Barnard's Mill is a small town museum. There's an art display in most of the building. There's historical information which includes the moonshine raid by the Texas Ranger Frank Hammer. Frank Hammer was brought in to hunt down and kill Bonnie and Clyde 1934. 30 minutes or so to go through. There was a car show when I was there.

The school age children from Endless Discoveries - Glen Rose loved their visit at Barnard's Mill on June 6, 2023. Thank you for making this such a memorable experience!

This mill has great community and doner support. The house and grounds are a great treat to visit. There is so much artwork and showcased artists. I love the design of the house as an art gallery and an historical site. It would be a great place to have a special event.

5-29-2024 As soon as I entered the building, I was struck by the friendly cheerful welcome of the staff. And I mean IMMEDIATELY!!! EMMA is an excellent tour guide of this art gallery, historical treasure located in Glen Rose Texas. 😊Emma is knowledgeable and presented herself in a positive professional manner! Highly highly recommend ! 👍👍 I think the hours listed on this page may need to be updated for summer 2024. 🙄I will be back because there is more to see and I want to spend more time looking at the FABULOUS art. PLEASE GO ! Admission is FREE But DONATIONS are welcomed for sure. It is a gem! You won’t be disappointed.
