Bates Carpet & Furniture Center

We were trying to get carpet from a big box store because we thought it'd be more affordable than other options and that they'd have a large bench of workers to assist with installation, but the whole process was nothing short of a frustrating nightmare. We went to Bates out of desperation because we needed carpet installation FAST and I regret not going there from the start. The associates we worked with were SO fantastic and kind, and thoroughly entertained my kids while I was looking around and completing the transaction. They had great options in stock we could choose from at a range of price points and got us on the books very quickly. Overpriced, defective and poor quality. If you wants sofas, recliners, this is not the place you wanna spend your money at! Very poor quality hardware, even at time of delivery, needed adjustment and their guy didn't know what to do, and I had to fix it myself; light, normal use over a couple of years, and my recliner is already broken (a metal component just snapped as I was sitting watching TV.) I'm a skinny person, less than 134 lbs, and I'm the only person sitting in this recliner. I do not recommend this business.

We bought a lift chair for my 91 year old father-in-law with severe dementia to help get him out of the chair. They were great and very helpful and even had it delivered that day for us. They are good to work with.

Very bad service & quality of work. Did a TERRIBLE job on a hardwood floor in my house several years ago. Then when I brought it to their attention did nothing but ignore me or had ten thousand excuses. Would not recommend this company to anyone not even to build a dog house.
