Bath Fitter

Complete waist of my time. When talking with Bath fitter I asked them specifically if they can go over an existing tub/shower, their response was "absolutely, that's what we do". Here is a description from their website: "A Bath Fitter remodel can be done in as little as a day, regardless of the material of your original bathtub, without the mess of demolition or the costs of traditional tub remodeling". I was super clear, it's a tub/shower. When their estimator/salesman looked at our tub/shower he started talking about the demo. I said I thought you can go over the existing? He told me they can't go over fiberglass acrylic???? So perhaps that would have been a good question to ask when scheduling a time for us to meet, like do you know what your tub is made out of?? My elderly mom needed her bath tub shower combo replaced with a walk in shower for her safety. From the consultation meeting with Bre to the installation done by Jesse and Rowan the process was excellent. Bre explained the whole process thoroughly and took her time with my mom in choosing the right shower features for her and her safety . We ran into problems with not being able to turn off the main water line due to the shut off valve being so old and the water couldn’t be shut off safely. We initially were going to have to have the water turned off at street level so the original installation date had to be changed. I got my wonderful bathtub five years ago and just one of the fittings was loose. They came right away fixed it very wonderful man named Rowan polite cared about my home. Couldn’t have been a better experience!

Bre was amazing! Right from the jump I knew we were in great hands, she was so experienced and friendly and put all my worries to rest as we evaluated my current shower situation and designed the amazing new one! The customization is incredible, and I have no doubt that once the new shower is installed I’ll be blown away! 10/10 recommend Bre and BathFitter for any bathroom remodel!

We researched a variety of options for replacing our bathtub and shower and decided that Bathfitter was the best option - the work was completed in a single day, and we didn't have to deal with removing the old bathtub, replacing the subfloor, etc. We paid $6348 for the tub/shower, all the fixtures, shower curtain rod, and of course the labor. It would be somewhat more expensive if you want to do a glass door or upgrade to more fancy fixtures, but we also didn't choose the cheapest fixtures available. The only drawback is that we waited a little over four months from the time we signed the contract to the date of installation, but a lot of factors related to the pandemic have slowed things down, and it was worth the wait.
