Battery Red Deck

My young son and I attended the Christmas tree lighting event at the battery and ended up getting stuck in the parking garage for 1.5 hrs! Free parking is for 2 hrs. Arrival time 5:52pm. Pulled out of my parking spot at 7:15pm with plenty of time to spare for my 7:52pm cut off. Hit grid lock traffic, called security 3x, whom informed me LAZ parking gate was broken and that’s why we were stuck and couldn’t get out ! Not to mention STEPHEN, a LAZ parking attendant vandalized my vehicle by banging on my car hood waking my son up because I was following the flow of traffic and I guess he expected me to stop when he wasn’t even paying attention! They reel you in with two hours of free parking to hide the fact that they are completely incompetent at their jobs. After an hour stay, we got in our cars to leave at 8:00pm and we finally left at 10:10pm. It is absolutely ridiculous that your customers are reaping the consequences of the disorganized parking lot. Absolutely unacceptable to make your customers be in trapped in the parking deck. Not only is this a serious safety hazard but reeks of unprofessionalism. Even after two hours of waiting to leave, they still charge you 20 dollars. Do yourself a favor and don’t come here. Save yourself 20 dollars and 2 hours of your time.

Terrible experience! This was my first and definitely my last visit to the ATL Battery. I was stuck in my car for over 90 minutes just trying to exit the parking deck. In total, it was over two hours free parking, so I had to pay a $20 parking fee. It almost feels like their way of squeezing money out of visitors.

ZERO STARS! We parked in this deck after dining at a nearby restaurant that validated our ticket. The validation should have covered the parking fee, that’s the whole point of offering it. But when we went to leave, the parking attendant claimed the ticket was “expired” and refused to let us out unless we paid $60. This is outrageous. We had no way of knowing there was some hidden time limit or that the validation would be rejected. We even went back to the restaurant to ask them to assist and they said there was nothing they could do because the office for the parking deck was closed. Instead of honoring the validation or even working with us on a reasonable solution, they essentially held our car hostage until we paid. This is nothing short of a scammy business practice.
