Very disappointed with my experience. The staff was rude and unhelpful, and when I tried to return an item, they charged a 20% restocking fee — which I later found out had been covered up on their return policy sign. Not transparent at all. I won’t be doing business here again.

I hate giving bad reviews to companies because, as a business owner, I understand how it feels — we can always take our business elsewhere. I’ve worked with QXO (Beacon) for the past year, and it’s frustrating how often mistakes happen when ordering materials — from damages at clients’ properties to misinformation about scheduling and inventory. My outside sales rep, Brock from Beacon, is a great guy and always does his best to resolve issues. Most of the problems seem to come from internal management. The main issue with them seems to be that it’s “okay” to cause damages because they have the money to pay for it. Beacon Building Products (now QXO) is a major disappointment. I’ve ordered from them before, but since the QXO change the service has gone downhill. I spent over a week trying to place a special order—multiple emails and voicemails—and only received a single response. The sales staff seemed disengaged and uninterested in helping. This isn’t just one branch; every Seattle-area location I’ve dealt with is the same. I had a clear deadline, and instead of being upfront that they couldn’t fulfill the order, they left me hanging. Another supplier stepped in and handled it quickly and professionally. No wonder American companies are falling apart when this level of service is considered acceptable.
