I recently had my septic tank serviced. As a city gal from New York, I’ll admit—I don’t know much about septic systems. The XXX company performed the pump-out service, and they told me the tank was compromised with roots and needed to be replaced. Something told me it was smart to get a second opinion. That’s when I reached out to Bennett Septic. Karen was incredibly kind and understanding—she scheduled an appointment for me without hesitation. Tim and Hunter came out, conducted a simple and free visual assessment. More importantly, they provided practical recommendations and explained what signs to watch for to determine if and when a new tank is truly needed. I dug up the lid on my septic after a locate and pump by these guys, only to find they broke my lid and stuffed plastic in it to plug it up, and the tank was still full. Also there was a second chamber that they didn’t find even though the one they dug obviously wasn’t big enough for the house, had to have them come back out to pump both chambers but the vacuum was so weak it couldn’t completely empty the tanks. The original quote was for 425$, they billed me 800. Overall terrible, the lady on the phone was nice.

We called a couple other companies and they kinda fiddled around and didn’t get anything done. They came out to pump our septic and were done in less then two hours. Went the extra mile and and didn’t charge an outrageous price. Would use their services again and will be recommending them going forward.
