Disappointing Experience – Be Cautious if You’re a Young Couple Many people recommended Best Guy for our move from New York to Israel, so we hired them. The original quote was for under 200 cubic feet. After packing at our apartment, it jumped to 300, and once it reached the warehouse, it increased again to 400 — double the original estimate. We had even signed a document stating the total wouldn’t exceed 20% above the quote, yet it went far beyond that. To his credit, Guy did split the difference with us, which we appreciated, but the process was inconsistent and stressful. When our shipment arrived, around 25 books, my college diploma, and other items were damaged — clearly from poor packing, not transport. Best Guy moving was suburb. Respectful, accommodating and professional. They packed and were efficient and nothing broke and they came in time and left when completed. Used them in the past and used them again now and know who to call next time.

I used these guys last year moving from Central Jersey to North Jersey, and my sister used them, too. I used them again for a local move, and they were amazing! Honestly, it's so nice and friendly. Isaiah was the leader, and Anthony and the 2 other men were great! They were so careful with everything and overall did an amazing job. Would definitely hire again!

BGM is the best. Great team in Secaucus. Super fast response to all questions. Great packing. And excellent partners on the other end of the shipment.

First red flag is when they went over the contract with me he let me know that tipping is customary, roughly $5-$10 per man per hour, but optional. I found it odd that this was put in writing, as I've never had anyone tell me upfront they expect a tip (and exactly how much). The foreman was also on the phone a lot, while another guy was watching videos. I told them from the get-go I expect everything to be picked up, yet they still left behind multiple items. Instead of taking responsibility, the owner tried to blame me for not being there on-site with them. When they were done loading the container, the crew all stood awkwardly behind me while the foreman was going over the paperwork with me. Another uncomfortable moment.
