Robin listened attentively to my concerns about repairing vs replacing my 5 year old A/C system. He inspected the system thouroughly, outside, inside and the ductwork taking notes and pictures. He explained in a clear and uncomplicated way his reasons for the recommendations he made. I recieved written proposals for his recommendations and was provided with information on how to take the next steps or how to reach him if I had further questions. Had excellent experience with Birch’s Air Conditioning. Requested service call at night, got call back early next morning, scheduled a visit within hours, service tech Nick showed up early, correctly diagnosed issue, made arrangements for a rescue part, set up unit replacement quote, so we could decide on repair vs replace option. No pressure applied either way, got quote quickly from Rob, made decision and am scheduling follow up all within hours. So far an excellent professional experience.

Visit #1. Technician (Bryan), worked diligently to try to find what appears to be an oily residue on the refrigerant line sets as they penetrate the ceiling in the garage below our condo. He was not able to detect any refrigerant leak, nor identify the cause of the oily residue. We removed the insulation and dried the oily residue and will continue to monitor. He said, if the problem persist, or if the cooling isn’t as it should be, to call back for a follow up to check pressures. 3/2. After a few days, oily residue was still present. Called in a follow up and Xavier (service manager) came can out to evaluate. Having good records from Bryan, he had a good understanding of the situation and was able to identify what he felt was the root of the problem. He scheduled a repair within 24 hour
