B&L Heating & Air LLC

I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while now, because honestly, I’m still frustrated. B&L Heating and Air was the preferred contractor through my home warranty company, 2-10, from the time I bought my home in 2019 up until 2024, when I had my last service call with them. Over the years, they came out several times for different HVAC issues, and while I’ll admit the technicians were always friendly and usually on time, the lack of true technical knowledge became very clear in hindsight. In July of this year (2025), my HVAC unit stopped working completely. It wouldn’t even turn on from the thermostat. This had happened before, and since B&L had fixed it in the past, I assumed it was the same issue. That’s when I found out B&L was no longer a preferred vendor for 2-10. So I worked

Guys came out and “fixed my unit” 2.5 years ago through 2-10 home warranty. I paid my $50 to the warranty company and STILL ended up paying B&L $275. Apparently he did the bare minimum because it went out again last month. Unit wouldn’t cut on at all. I called a day ago and they came out quickly (a positive), they fixed the unit in 30 minutes (a positive) and explained what was wrong (a positive)… The negatives: they said “two of the wires were touching, causing the fuse to short;” resulting in them replacing the wires. They charged me $15 for the new fuse but then charged $110 for the wires. When I asked him to show me where they had been replaced, he doubled back saying they weren’t replaced, just separated. 1O/2023 - update I can't rave enough about B&L Heating & Air, especially Joe. My furnace decided to take a break, so I gave Lance a call (always super nice). He got a same-day visit scheduled, and in the afternoon, Joe and Cameron swung by. They quickly pinpointed the issue and had my furnace back in action in no time. Every time I've dealt with the B&L crew, it's been fantastic. I highly recommend them! 2021 Review I am extremely satisfied with the appointment that I had with Riley. Lance came out last July to help with my AC. Even though he squeezed me in at the end of the day, he was able to quickly ID the issue and replace my capacitor first thing the next morning. I appreciate the extra mile he took to ensure I was back up with AC as quickly as possible. I requested new service yesterday and they were able to come out early this morning and get me back up with my AC. Joe and Cameron were awesome. Once again, B&L explained everything clearly and were patient with my questions. They were also able to install my Google nest thermostat that I had previously purchased through GA Power. I was too nervous to do it myself. It's been left in a box since November. Ha! Great service. Much appreciated! Will continue to be a customer with this excellent team.

Lance is personable, and I was looking forward to doing business with his company. However, after one failed visit to clean my dryer vent and 10 ignored text messages to reschedule, I am compelled to report that he is also unreliable and unresponsive. I will be taking my business elsewhere.
