Blackburn Chimney was amazing. Our previous chimney guys got bought out by Chimney Solutions Corp (which sounds like a Bond villain in an HGTV series) so we had to find someone new. And Blackburn was great. They’re independent and locally owned, did a great job at a great price and didn’t try to upsell me by finding any nonexistent problems. Highly recommended. Our dog was very happy with the results also.

Eddie was excellent. After examining the 80 year old chimney on my new-to-me home, he carefully outlined the options and explained his calculations for flue size and best draft. Who takes the time to do that anymore?!? Eddie does. I appreciated the respect he gave me as a woman homeowner and his detailed advice. Used Blackburn now two years in a row for fireplace cleanings and will absolutely continue to use them. Very timely, efficient, and friendly! We needed a repair done on our firebox this year and Eddie took the time to explain to me in detail the issue and how to fix it. The team that came out to do it communicated their arrival well in advance, showed up when they said they would, and took very great care on containing the work area to minimize the mess from the repairs and cleaned up everything when they were done. Eddie and his entire Blackburn Chimney team successfully completed a major chimney project at our home - replacing all flue tiles and the throat damper, adding insulation, and smoke chamber guard coating. Based on the existing reviews, we had high expectations, and they were actually superseded. The team was polite and timely from start to finish. The project was completed on schedule. While the technical skills are necessary, of course, complementing them are the consistently high levels of integrity - for example, when a small surprise came up during the project, the lead technician immediately explained what happened, how it was going to be resolved, and reassured us that Eddie would follow-up with confirmation.
