Blockhead Blocktops

We are happy to have a piece of our home state of Michigan in our new lakehouse in Virginia. The entire process was easy and the finished butcher block looks amazing. Would definitely recommend and buy again!

They made us a gorgeous 3 inch true butcher block end grain select walnut countertop for our second kitchen island and another 2 inch select walnut side grain for a sideboard. Both are beautiful and arrived without incident to Jasper, Ga which is an hour north of Atlanta. Both countertops are flawless but the end grain butcher block is stunning. The carpenters who installed our countertops had to come back because a custom piece didn't fit around out microwave and they went crazy when they saw the butcher block top. The head carpenter who owns the cabinet shop kept running his hand across the top of it. He was amazed by it. It has been about 3 years but I still love my kitchen and I am so glad I went with a mixture of surfaces. The wood is especially nice for rolling out dough.

The owner and his staff are very knowledgeable, professional, and kind. They were able to offer suggestions and create exactly what we wanted off nothing more then our measurements and idea of what we were trying to achieve. The counter came out better then we could have imagined, the picture does not do it justice. Beautiful craftsmanship and we look forward to enjoying our new island for years and years!
