John and his team recently completed a bathroom renovation for my family. Every step of the way he and the team were wonderful to work with, from the planning phase all the way through minor tweaks at the end. For starters, John doesn't disappear like some contractors; he picks up and returns calls so there's never a concern about what's going on. If there was something we had a question about, we could always get hold of him and get the answer quickly. He's easy to get a plan together with and will execute whatever your vision is. Selling a house is a difficult process. After inspections, the town and the buyer requested somes areas of the home require repair. After getting some scary estimates, we called Blue Planet, simply for some direction and the possible chance they could provide second opinions, since we were in a time crunch. John promptly reached back out same day, even though it was early evening Saturday, and was at our home that Monday, giving us way better estimates, providing expert assessments as he was very knowledgeable on multiple areas of the home, and assuring us solutions so that we could successfully close. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Blue Planet on two projects that could have been extremely stressful, but thanks to their quick response and expertise, they turned into the smoothest experiences I’ve ever had with a contractor. Project 1: My pregnant tenant (in our rental property) noticed mold on the wall. John came out immediately to assess the situation. He began testing, removed the affected walls and floors, and treated the home. To ensure it stayed dry, he installed French drains and a sump pump. After completing the remediation, he replaced the walls and floors and painted the space. It looked beautiful—and most importantly, it was DRY! We moved in to a new house and black mold was spotted in the garage during inspection. John came out immediately and diagnosed the scope of the issue and sent out specimens for independent 3rd party lab testing. Results confirmed the issue John suspected and once again his team came out immediately to begin the remediation. His guys did an amazing job knocking out a difficult issue. Ripped out all the problem Sheetrock and insulation, cleaned the areas then replaced with new materials then sanded and painted to the point where everything looks brand new. Additionally they wrapped our heating/cooling vents with metallic bubble wrap to prevent the mold from ever coming back. Overall I’m extremely happy with the thorough and professional job Blue Planet did for our new house. We can now sleep
