In June of 2017, we hired Brian and Boss Improvement to build a garage for us. It was problematic from start to finish. Before we could even get the foundation poured, incorrect lot measurements resulted in not one but two failed inspections and a stop work order on my front door. Of course, Brian insisted that this was not his fault and the City had told him the wrong numbers. At this point, we decided to apply for a variance from city ordinance in order to place the building exactly how we wanted it. After being approved, work resumed in August, 2017. I spent the next several weeks getting complaints from my neighbors and cleaning up trash and cigarette butts out of my yard and alley. After Brian had finished pouring the foundation he notified me that he would need another check in

These guys were recommended to me by Lowe’s and they didn’t disappoint. They took on 2 porches that were supposed to have been done by another contractor almost a year earlier; but never showed after materials had been delivered already. Brian answered calls, showed on time, drove the extra miles, picked up materials and his team did a good job on porches with the materials and design chosen by the unreliable contractor I initially hired. I really appreciate the hard work and extra time they put in and I will definitely be recommending them to anyone needing a contractor in my area! He installed a wood fence for me, four months later the panels are warping (which I am contacting Lowe’s on that) but there are huge gaps between the panels. I can see into my neighbors yard between the gaps, what’s the point of a fence if you can still see your neighbors. He only put a latch on one side of the gate so you can only get in or out from one side and that latch sticks depending on the weather, I’ve had to adjust it many times and had to use a pliers just to open it. I could go on and on about how bad this fence looks but just drive down the 700 block of chestnut if you want to know who not to hire. I pd for the panels in august and didn’t get the fence put up until november. I tried contacting him SEVERAL times, he does not respond, he never answers the phone. I paid $3900 for

Boss Improvement was great to work with. They communicated throughout the whole project letting us know when our materials would be in and when the project would be completed and they stuck to it. We were very happy and will use them again.
