Excellent experience with this company the second time around. A few years back I enrolled into the Pg&E program to get free upgrades to my home and I was not impressed with the quality of the materials they used. It felt like they did the work fast and gave minimal upgrades with very little explanation. I did love that I was able to get a discount on my bill having enrolled in the program. Fast forward 5 yrs. We decided to give this program and bright ideas another shot at doing upgrades. The materials were so much nicer, this time. The light fixtures were actually pretty, the led bulbs really came in handy, we got new showerheads, a tune up on our a/c unit and most importantly a brand new water heater that saved us a lot of money. When I first heard PGE's "Bright Ideas" program I was quite surprised that it has been part of our community for 15+ years. Wow, who knew; not me. The program's office staff were terrific getting me scheduled for the home "Weatherization". The service crew were sociable and did their the work efficiently. Many months later, I was contacted by "Bright Ideas". One of the two terrific office personnel called saying due to my refrigerator's age, I qualified for a replacement. Again, the service employees were on time, professionally, efficient and courteous. I won't give a personal "shout" by first names, as it wouldn't be appropriate. I do want to leave a review for "All" of the employees who provided service at my home from "Bright Ideas"- Thank you, kindy for the assistance. Paula T.

Eta: Don't let them do a smart thermostat because when it dies you get stuck with no AC for 4+ days of 100°+ before they can come back out to check it and no other AC service technician will touch it because this company installed it They came to inspect and said they couldn't even look in my attic or crawl space because the openings were too small according to their rules. I spent $200 on lumber to reinforce and widen my attic opening, cut a 2ftx2ft hole in my floor and reinforced that so they had access to that. When they came to install a door and weatherstripping, I told them we had fixed the openings, they then said the floor was bouncy so they wouldn't do insulation under it, it's a raised foundation with original hardwood floors and a subfloor with carpet. I was told I qualified for a refrigerator. But they had to come out to inspect and do “3 measures” first. What’s that all about? Smells fishy! “Bait and switch”. Bases on other one star reviews I said no thanks. I’m surprised PGE would sponsor such a scam. I’ll buy a just fridge when the time comes.

The worst company ever they opened all my outlets and they did not put them back together the way they’re supposed to be , I called the supervisor. Her name is Monica. I also spoke to Donna and they denied The work that they did in my house. I do not recommend this company to anybody think about it twice before you have anybody going to your house to try to repair things that are not even broken just so they can get a paycheck. This company is the worst.
