They carry much better lumber than Lowes or Home Depot. Most is #1. It's like an older lumber yard. You go inside, pay, then drive around and they will load you. This is the only place I have found that does all of this! You're lucky if you can find someone at the others. Here is a picture of their #1 lattice work that's a full 3/4" thick. No where else can you get this. Built this with the lumber.

I was just told by the lady answering the phones at Builder’s Resource that it is the end of the month and they like to get everything shut down before 4:00 PM. This was in response to my question of “if I get there 5 minutes before will someone stay to sell me some material”. They do not sound like much of a builder’s resource.

Advertise they are open on Saturday from 7:00 AM until 12:00 PM, when in fact they are not. Drove an hour to get here only to find they are closed.

Have always had good experience with ford's am from out of town working on a property I own here may not be a big deal to the average person but should have correct closing time on website closes at 4 not 4:30 showed up at 4:03 and was told they couldn't help

checked mobile lumber and lowes for prices on 3/4 inch plywood and some boards. Ford's had the most affordable prices. Katie was very knowledgeable about the wood prices and offered alternative. We made our purchase from Ford's with the help of Katie and we were pleased although the price of wood has skyrocketed.
