There are not enough words for how much I've valued Carlos and his team with the extensive quality work they did on my home. It started with water and mold remediation, then onto demolition and renovations. What started as front room damages turned into a whole house project. Carlos supported me every step of the way by communicating frequently with myself as well as the insurance adjuster. He went above and beyond by being present when the adjuster came for home visits. He even was present for an all day hearing on my insurance claim!! He was professional, knowledgeable, hard-working, fair priced, sincere and of high integrity, and really cared about the work being done! My home looks beautiful, thanks to Carlos and his team! Carlos and his crew - Felipe, Hector, and everyone else, did an amazing job remodeling both of our bathrooms. They were all very professional, quick to respond to and address any questions I had, and very thorough in their work. No detail was overlooked and they were more than willing to accommodate my many small extra asks. This is actually the second time I have used Built Right, since the first time I used them they finally fixed an issue that a few other contractors failed to fix (leaky window/entire stucco wall). I will definitely use them again next time I need more work done - can't beat the price, quality of work, professionalism, and they are just straight up cool fun people to work with!

We hired another contractor to do our kitchen remodel, and they subcontracted Carlos' company (so Built Right did all the actual work). The direct contractor turned out to be absolutely awful (they were not paying Carlos and they kept us in the dark for a lot of problems). This easily could have blown up and destroyed the entire project. But Carlos has integrity, vision, and dedication. He worked with me to get the project finished, and I really appreciate his honesty and work ethic. When we were unhappy with something, he fixed it. He listened to what we wanted, and was happy to adjust if we asked for something different. We also did full permits through the City of Oakland (complete headache) and they passed all inspections. Bad experience even before getting an estimate. I had an appointment with them and at the last minute they sent me text that there would a 1% fee for written estimate which they didn’t tell me when scheduling the appointment. Carlos told me that his time was valuable. So glad I am not doing business with them.

Short: Great team, great crew. Thorough, thoughtful, responsive, reasonable, and skilled.
