Bunting Garage

This is the parking garage for employees of Mercy Medical Center, as well as for visitors, including those from construction and ER patients who are visiting family members. Mercy has three other buildings. The main floor is technically the first floor; however, I often refer to the fourth floor as the main floor because it connects directly to the main hospital. As you walk through the main hospital, if you continue straight, you will find the information desk right there, which can assist you in navigating to any of the other three buildings that Mercy has.

The entrance is not easy to find or access. The exit is confusing and usually leads to the opposite side of the garage. The surrounding area is always under construction. Rates with validation from the healthcare facility are acceptable for the area. Users are in general short-tempered and rarely respect traffic signs and patients/pedestrians crossing.

I had early surgery and my wife was able to park very close to the all-weather bridge to the 4th floor of the Bunting Center, which is street level on the St. Paul side. The very nice nursing student wheeled me back to the garage so my wife only had to move the car 50 feet to let me load. I don't know if they always do this but it was much appreciated. The garage itself is nice, with one-way driving and relatively generous spaces and travel lanes.

I love the fact that it has a walkway directly into the hospital
