Please stay away form him!!!!! We hired Ben to remodel a small bathroom which turned into a nightmare in only few days due to his terrible attitude and unethical work. He remodeled the bathroom and installed the shower door crooked. When we pointed that out to him he advised me that " this is the best he could do and he has already stayed longer on the job and I have to live with it " I don't have a choice. Then WE started using the new bathroom and we found out the bathroom is leaking in our kitchen. We found out he had not sealed the whole bathroom. When confronted he asked me to hire a second contractor the I could work with and get it done!!!! What kind of a contractor is he who doesn't waterproof a bathroom?!! When asked he ridiculed me and said I can not do anything and get it fixed

Hired Ben to finish our basement. The contract said it would be completed in 4-5 weeks start to finish. He/his employees started working on March 9, 2020. The job was not completed until Sept 7, 2020, requiring constant follow up from me to get him here. I even told him I have no problem with it taking a little bit longer due to COVID (so I discounted the month of April), but I never anticipated it would take 6 months, although he always has a reason for his delays. He also worked on other jobs during this time despite telling me he “only takes on one job at a time”. My experience with BVL started out well. We hired them to tile our kitchen floor. They were able to start quickly and at first the job was going along well. On the last day, they asked for final payment before the work was completed and everything seemed to be going well, so we paid them. A couple days after they left and we were able to walk in the kitchen again, we noticed that about a 1/3rd of the kitchen was not grouted properly or at all, some uneven tiles, and at least one tile that buckled when you walked over it. Much like a lot of other customers....it starts out well, but isn't going well....2 years later. If anything goes wrong, don't expect it to be addressed, let alone pretty much accused of lying. We hired BVL to pour a concrete pad, demo and repour 2 front steps. The pad is fine, as we rarely use it. I wish I could say the same for the stairs. They were not finished properly and the entire top coat of the concrete has completely chipped and crumbled off. They look atrocious. We have tried to contact him regularly for the last 6 + months and keep getting the same reply...."I didn't forget....I've just been so busy" "the weather is bad...." Do not hire! As a business owner of several businesses for over a decade myself, this is the worst working experience I have endured and would not share had the experience been even slightly positive. The owner initially told us his team would work 10hr days and deck job would be completed in 5 days. The owner spent maybe a total of 2hours at the job and his subcontractor who he hired to do the actual work came and worked 4hr days, no weekends, and even skipped days to go do other jobs which dragged our job out extensively. Then worse, when we brought their unsafe and below standard work that was performed to his attention, instead of finding solutions and fixing what needed to be redone, and providing new materials, he took zero accountability and then up'd and quit the job about half
