Cahaba Contractors

If I could I would give negative stars to Cahaba Contractors. I filed a claim with American Home Shield on 12/1/25. They assigned Contractors to the job and they came to my home and determined my garbage disposal needed to be replaced. Unfortunately, that was the last time I saw them. They never sent a report to AHS despite many phone calls from AHS and me. They would not return phone calls and then reported to AHS that the job was completed even though it had not been completed. After 5 weeks of trying to get a leaking disposal replaced, I finally gave up and hired a responsible company to do the job. If you have a claim with a warranty company, DO NOT let them assign Cahaba Contractors for your repair.

Due to many negative reviews, I was nervous to use Cahaba Contractors when assigned by my warranty company. However, they responded within 24 hours, showed up right on time, and fixed issues I was having with 2 sink faucets without any trouble. I was very pleased with their service and cannot think of anything that could have improved the experience.

Came to the property twice about a stopped up kitchen sink. The technician refused to fix it properly. I had to get somebody else to go underneath the house to unstop the line at the clean out trap. I asked the technician several times to go underneath the house and he refused to do it. I think he thought I was going to continue to call and allow them to milk me for money. On one occasion they came to the property and water spouted out on the floor. They did not even have towels to clean up the water spill. But owner actually went to the van and got a bed sheet an attempt to clean up the spill. I ended up using my own towels. Would not recommend them to anybody. They're also difficult to get in touch with. It took several days for me then get them to respond after the home warranty c

If I could give 0 stars that would still be too high. Our plumbing is backed up and when I called our home warranty they went with Cahaba Contractors. After my initial phone call the appointment was set for 8 AM. No one can get one of the people on the phone. Not me, not the home warranty company. I cannot use any facilities in my home, so please go somewhere else. Do not waste your time with these unprofessional people.

READ THIS REVIEW: When our water heater went out the home warranty folks told me that Cahaba contractors would be the ones on the job. Naturally, I wanted to see some reviews. I know that internet reviews don’t tell the whole story. Some people are impossible to please and don’t understand why things like HVAC and plumbing are so expensive. So they have a good bit of bad reviews and a few good ones. Mine is a good one. Brandon heads up the plumbing department with Cahaba Contractors. He came in, gave me a very honest and straight forward diagnosis, and worked with me on everything. He completely went above and beyond for us. This guy really knows what he’s doing. He had the problem figured out and the water heater replaced in less than 2 hours (we had been without hot water for 3 days). I
