I can’t express how amazing Mike is as a person and at his craft. If you don’t hire Mike, you’re losing out on a showstopper for your home once he’s done. Mike brought my vision to life, within budget, and had a can-do attitude along the way. He was extremely flexible with the entire situation, which wasn’t easy due to our requirements and timeline. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know him along the way and also see firsthand his attention to detail and quality. His communication was top notch and I never worried about the job he was doing, fully trusting him in my home.

Above and beyond, Mike and his team were amazing to work with! They redid our entire main level including a powder room with lvP, new trim, and door casings. Incredibly fair pricing exceptional craftsmanship and work ethic, attention to detail, showed up on time everyday, very polite and professional, and the outcome was everything we'd hoped for! Calabrese Flooring was by far the best contractor I’ve ever hired. We just finished a 3 month long full renovation of our house and Mike (the owner and sole worker of the company) did our floors, stair treads/risers, balusters, and trim in our house (~1400 sqft of floor). From start to finish Mike was responsive, professional, and communicated with great detail what to expect in regards to timeline and price. Just before our project began Mike had a family emergency that took him away from work for several days, delaying the project he was working on just before ours. Following a rewiring project that involved removal of decades old carpeting, our realtor advised us to ask Calabrese Flooring to refinish two hallways and two staircases of battered and somewhat creaky oak and pine floors. The result was excellent. Rich Calabrese transformed these areas from eyesores to beauty spots. In the process, he alerted us to structural issues hidden by the old carpeting, worked with our structural engineer and contractor to design sound and attractive repairs, and concocted stains that matched multiple vintages of flooring.
