Calista Kitchen & Bath

Calista Kitchen & Bath was the first of 5 remodeling companies we had quote an extensive remodel of our master bath and closet area. The only things we didn't move were the windows. Jen Dubbaneh, the owner, had the best plan, price, and professional proposal when all the quotes were completed. We picked our start date and have had not one regret since. My bathroom is stunning! Just before the New Year she started stunning changes to our guest bath. Our bar area is next and last of our projects for a while but I secretly plan to convince my husband that the Kitchen needs a new look as well. We're so happy we found Calista to help us make our home just what we envisioned and much more.

Jen and Calista are simply the BEST! One ten minute walk with Jen around Calista's gorgeous show room (do yourself a favor, and go check it out), and it became obvious that Jen is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the design and remodeling process. It is also clear now having worked with Jen that she is genuinely devoted to matching her clients with designs and products that are both the highest quality and the most useful/practical. There are not enough star ratings on Google (5 stars here aren't enough) to demonstrate how much I would recommend Jen and Calista!

When you first walk into Calista’s showroom, it’s beautiful. It’s full of mostly competitively priced materials from major manufacturers. The space is bright and airy and quite inviting. Jen’s design ability is top shelf and she has some great ideas. We have all heard the saying “ the chain is only as strong as it’s weakest link”. That link happens to be Jen. Everything went well at the beginning of the project, designing the space and selecting the products. The problem arose because Jen doesn’t like and doesn’t know how to deliver bad news. Her communication skills suck. We were quoted one week for the project and one week to order the glass for our shower. Seven weeks later we’re done. We had to gut our bathroom because of a water leak so as part of the remodel process we had to pick out tile for the floor and the shower and wanted everything to coordinate. We went to two “box stores” in town and were totally overwhelmed with all the choices. We thought if we went to a tile showroom in town we’d get some design advice,, however, both places we went to were of no help at all. On a recommendation we called Jen Dubbaneh at Calista Kitchen & Bath in Punta Gorda. Within two days, she came to the house, measured our bathroom and went to work back at her showroom. We met her a few days later and she had choices laid out for us for flooring, bathroom wall and floor tile, as well as accent tiles, all coordinated! Our experience with the owner of this company was very disappointing. She led us to believe that she could prepare an overall redesign of our kitchen at a cost we agreed to. After 2 meetings with her and repeatedly being told that the design would be done "next week" she has decided that she won't do the design work because her cabinet offerings didn't work for us. I guess she wanted more work out of us than just a design. In addition, several messages were left unreturned and after finally sending an email asking her to please call us asap she responded and told us she can't help us. Very disappointing! This has left us with having to start over and find someone else. The unprofessionalism, lack of communications and integrity demonstrated by this company is appalling.
