Cameron Street Garage(Garage 7)

The garage is fine, reasonably priced, but it's really annoying and difficult when I'm staying over at my partner's apartment that I have to stay up until midnight to pay for parking into the next morning on the parking app. Especially when we have to get up early for our work in the morning.

Another vehicle break-in at this garage. While this isn't my car, my own vehicle was broken into in the exact same area of the lot about 9 months ago just one spot over from where this silver car was parked. This occurred on the second floor near the 2nd Avenue exit side. It's concerning to see how frequently break-ins are still happening here.

Easy to use. Payment options good also very clean for downtown city parking options. No urine or crazy stuff you'd expect.

This garage is a scam in the sense that it is not clear enough how to pay and the payment scheme is silly anyway. How difficult would it be to simply scan when you arrive and scan and pay when you leave instead of this obscure kiosk where you have to guess how long you will stay and pay when you arrive. Perhaps this is all by design to fool the user so that they can pay that beefy $45 fine for using the system Incorrectly. For as much tax as we as residents pay to live in this county, one would think they can afford a system that collects only enough parking money and not rob the users in this way. Downtown Silver Spring seems to struggle attracting people to visit. This foolish parking setup won’t help this cause.
