Car Park

This place is NOT free. We parked there for 1 hour and 15 minutes (went to the arcade) and came back and it was GONE. They had our car towed and it cost over $200 to get it back. Something needs to be changed, because when looking up “free parking in downtown Springfield”, it’s the first thing that pops up. It’s very deceitful and I don’t feel it was fair that we had to pay that because they didn’t change their online information. We parked on the first floor, and there wasn’t a sign until you got to the second floor (which is how we figured out where it was). The guy at the towing place felt bad because apparently this parking garage gets people all the time, because a few years ago it was free. It’s just extremely frustrating that a $20 date night turned into closer to $300.

Usually pretty crowded on the first 4 floors if you're not early but it's free. The elevator always smells like urine, however, even though I see the great workers you hire to keep the place clean going above and beyond keep it clear of trash, one constantly takes the rugs out and mops with pinesole and wipes walls down with cleaner, which is awesome, for about 3 days until some urinates in there overnight...Guess that's just part of it being downtown, unfortunately.

I had just parked in a spot in the public part of parking and as I walked out I had a security guard said to leave or he'll call the cops. I asked where I should park and he shouted at me and told me he's calling the police. I'm not sure what was happening but there where spots open everywhere and people just standing around. I'm not sure what was happening with him, but I'd this is another reason I don't want to go downtown.

There is NOWHERE to turn around at the top. I've NEVER seen such a badly designed car park. The elevator doesn't work either.
