It's always really hard to know whether or not one star/two star reviews are accurate. I am an avid google review reader, especially when in a new town. There were many many options to choose an oil company and I decided to try out Cardinal. I am so glad I did. Every single person I talk to has gone above and beyond to help me, as a newbie, understand my oil boiler heating system. The poor guy who came today to bleed my lines had to answer 100 questions about what all the pipes and tanks and parts were for. I had originally called an outside company to do a boiler inspection and they quoted me a price which ended up being almost double what Cardinal quoted me. Guess the good part is that they actually came and serviced the address. But customer service should really make sure they hang up the call before talking about their paying clients. My mom has lung cancer and COPD so she's on oxygen nightly and the customer service line had the audacity to talk trash and say my mom was lying just to get service quicker. Im sure yall get the pos liars. But. My mom's not one. Moral of the story: hang up your call if youre gonna talk trash about a paying client. Thanks. 😁

I have been a customer of Cardinal Glidden for 13 years, but their service has declined significantly. When I recently called to order oil, they said I needed to be "re-established" as a customer because it had been over a year since my last delivery. After my last delivery, they informed me there would be a $100 fee if I didn't order over 100 gallons. I waited for my tank to get low enough to avoid that charge. When I finally called, they told me I'd have to wait until March to be re-established. Find another company that values its customers – Cardinal Glidden clearly does not.

We purchased a home recently that had 1/4 tank of oil in the tank, located in one of the two bays in the garage. According to their office staff, the previous owners had been a customer of Cardinal Glidden since 2002. The garage door would have had to be opened to deliver oil as it's not piped to the outside. When we purchased the property in mid-October, we reached out to them and were told that a tank inspection would have to be done and there was a $50 fee. Didn't mind the fee because once we became a customer, the $50 would be credited back to us. When the gentleman came to inspect the tank, I was told that it would not pass for the following reasons. A) there were shims under 2 legs of the tank which, does not make it safe. B) the legs are too corroded and need to be replaced.

I called Cardinal & Glidden today and asked if they could deliver on Friday , as I didn’t have the money today, and wouldn’t have it till Friday. I am really low and didn’t want to run out. I’ve been a customer for about 2 years and have always paid by credit card up front. Today was a bit of a different circumstance and I was hoping for a friendly person on the other end who could possibly put themselves in my shoes and understand my predicament. I wasn’t asking for them to front me any oil until Friday. I simply asked to get on the list and they could charge my card in the a.m. and deliver my heating fuel same day. Nope! I was told to call on Friday to pay and they would deliver Monday. Very disappointed in a company I’ve used for 2 years or more. So I called another company and
